Grants Available:

Over the last decade, RDA has built a robust mechanism to centralize funding notifications into a single location. This grant research tool receives notifications daily on available funding from federal, state, and local governments; corporations; and foundations that span the health and human services spectrum. Examples of available funding opportunities include:

US Department of Education CARES Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

  • “The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-IHE/Student Aid provides funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges and struggling to make ends meet. Students cannot apply for assistance directly from the U.S. Department of Education but should contact their institutions for further information and guidance. Institutions have the responsibility of determining how grants will be distributed to students, how the amount of each student grant is calculated, and the development of any instructions or directions that are provided to students about the grant.”
  • Applications due September 30, 2020

Goggio Family Foundation Grants

  • Program Areas include:
    • Community Development and Social Change
    • Environmental Preservation
    • Education
  • Up to $20,000
  • Deadline: LOIs due August 1

Russell Sage Foundation Social Science Research Grants

  • “We are interested in research on the effects of the crisis on vulnerable populations, how they were shaped by increased inequalities, and the differential effects of federal, state, and local policies implemented in response to the pandemic. Our priorities do not include analyses of health outcomes or health behaviors, except where the research focuses on how pandemic-induced changes in health outcomes or behaviors affected social, political, economic and psychological outcomes.”
  • More details to come by the end of June
  • LOIs due August 5, 2020
