Alison comes to RDA with a dedication to addressing social inequities through strengthening the capacity of local organizations to create programs and policies that promote health and well-being in marginalized communities. She is committed to a participatory approach to planning and evaluation that involves local residents and builds on community assets. Alison has over 10 years of experience in research and consulting and is skilled in conceptualizing and implementing research designs, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and writing reports for a range of audiences. Alison enjoys collaborating with clients to gather data to inform strategic decisions, and provides training and technical assistance to social sector organizations in the areas of program evaluation, report writing, survey design, and qualitative research.
Prior to joining RDA, Alison carried out a variety of evaluation and planning projects as a consultant with government and nonprofit agencies across the public health, housing, education, and community development sectors. Before entering the consulting field, Alison worked in a direct service organization for persons with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco.
