In the 21st century, individuals and organizations must engage in continuous learning to be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Because the world’s stockpile of information and knowledge is increasing every day, it is imperative that we keep pace with new ideas and developments. At RDA, we focus on developing a culture of learning and ensuring that people “learn how to learn.”
RDA provides training and technical assistance to governmental agencies and non-profit organizations across our areas of expertise. Training and technical assistance are designed to help organizations meet the challenges they encounter as they work towards continuous improvement and growth. We focus on strengthening the organization’s ability to engage in learning and strive to build capacity for ongoing and continuous learning.
RDA employs a variety of training methodologies. We have found that training and technical assistance are maximized when learning takes place through a combination of classroom training, professional practice, group learning, and one-on-one coaching, where coaching is focused on helping practice the concepts and ideas presented in the trainings. Our trainers are aware of the constant need to address the objectives of our training audience at the appropriate level of sophistication of that audience. Training often includes role playing and reenactments to allow individuals to ‘try out’ concepts being introduced.
